If so, then you possess the perfect combination of skills needed to fill our opening for an Application Monitoring Engineer on our Cloud Operations Team in our Labs Department! You will be tasked with two primary responsibilities, as half of the role consists of troubleshooting our internal applications, while the other half includes developing applications and writing scripts to automate them.     Responsibilities

    • Timely escalation of issues and engagement of appropriate support teams, validating proper severity and taking appropriate actions.
    • Manage escalated incidents report to the Operations Center including timely and accurate documentation of actions taken and steps involved to resolve. Managing incidents include problem assessment, research, escalation and resolution task management.
    • Provide triage support for Operations support requests
    • Accurate and timely communication, both internally and externally including notifications to customers (internal & external), business own
    • Review and refine support documentation, SOPs, policies, processes, procedures and associated system requirements
    • Provide technical support services to the Production IT, R&D, Quality Assurance and Customer Success
    • Monitor and report status of all production performance related services
    • Prepare extensive electronic documentation that includes by not limited to; SLAs, Performance Metrics, installation guides, implementation guides, etc.
    • Work collaboratively with peers in other departments to support their strategies and objectives, such as R&D, Product Management, Quality Assurance and Customer Success
    • Participate in monthly metric reviews in support of 99.9% -99.99% uptime

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or combination of education and/or equivalent work experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years Operations support experience including: monitoring infrastructure, ticket management and escalations in support of SLAs
    • Scripting languages such as Perl or Python
    • Exposure to Amazon AWS or similar commercial cloud
    • Maintain and validate documentation, including support processes, SOPs, Policies & procedures
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks based on severity levels
    • Strong Attention to detail and ownership of deliverables
    • Exposure to Application Performance Monitoring Systems, log monitoring, Administration of Infrastructure Monitoring Systems, and Basic Unix Administration Skill
