We’re seeking an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Talent Management team, where you’ll partner with business leaders to ensure seamless design, delivery and execution on a full range of Talent initiatives in support of business objectives. As an HRBP, you’ll support the business across the full talent lifecycle (including areas such as Performance Management, Engagement and Workforce Planning). You’ll also help resolve employee relations issues and have a hand in driving new policy and process. We’re looking for someone who will bring a passion driving results in order to build a reputation as a trusted advisor to leaders.   This role will be based in San Jose, California reporting into the iCIMS Associate Director, Talent Management.

    • Work as a business partner to our TextRecruit organization on all people related opportunities.
    • Responsible for building trust-based relationships with the business leaders, people managers, and individual contributors.
    • Provide consultative advice and support to managers to address complex issues impacting the business, including mitigating risk and managing situations that result in the best possible outcomes for the company, teams, and people.
    • Partner with iCIMS HR COE’s to roll out all key people processes (check-ins, talent acquisition, engagement, performance management, compensation reviews, benefits, payroll, learning & development, HR systems) while owning these cyclical HR processes for the TextRecruit office
    • Work with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to fill open positions, onboard new hires. Keep Talent Acquisition apprised of any anticipated openings due to expected turnover or growth to ensure active pipeline for openings.
    • Supervise an HR Administrator.
    • Conduct investigations in accordance with company and legal guidelines. Reviews and approves terminations. Coach and counsel managers on employee development and performance management issues
    • Assist in policy development, interpretation & administration including maintaining California employee handbook, HR Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as required, to adhere to new regulations
    • Utilize data to drive key insights and decisions around growth, retention, and people initiatives
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal as needed/required
    • Support growth via organizational design and planning, building accountability, and structuring ways of working and making decisions.
    • Partner with the business to design and deliver targeted solutions, including strategic planning support, change management and team building.
    • Act as a key change agent to initiate, facilitate and manage changes through effective planning, communication and coaching
    • Partner with Talent Development team to positively impact management development.as well as individual professional development at the staff level.
    • Advise people managers to effectively manage employee Leave of Absences, Short-term Disability, FMLA requests and unemployment claims
    • Ensure understanding by employees as well as ensuring compliance to policy and legal requirements 
    • Create and manage Job Description library and job codes for assigned business group.
    • Participate in on-boarding new employees by providing presentations on HR policies and procedures
    • Work closely with Total Rewards team to provide guidance, recommendations and support the needs of TextRecruit related to job evaluation and market pricing, compensation and incentives.
    • Foster a culture that values diversity and inclusion and that demonstrates fair and consistent management practices. Champion employee engagement activities to create a great working environment focused on iCIMS core values.
    • Quarterly travel to iCIMS HQ for meetings


    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in broad-based human resources function with advanced knowledge of Human Resource discipline
    • Prior employee relations experience required
    • Proven track record of successfully working at all levels of the organization, demonstrating influence and client consulting skills with employees, managers and senior leadership
    • Demonstrated ability to understand complex business issues and develop HR initiatives/actions to support broad business strategies
    • Operates with a high sense of urgency and initiative; able to proactively anticipate issues while providing viable, alternative solutions to the business
    • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities; skilled in communicating with diverse clients, both 1:1 and in large groups
    • Displays courage and confidence when tacking tough coaching situations while maintaining trusting client relationship
    • Prior experience working with Human Resource Information Systems/solution (HRIS) required
    • Ability to work independently and be proactive in a high-performance environment.
    • Possess strong sense of ownership and accountability with a client service bias, meeting and anticipating client need
    • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
    • Demonstrated ability to establish credibility, trust and partnerships at all levels of an organization.
    • Knowledge of federal, state (California specific) and local laws and statutes which govern policies and practices of hiring compensation and benefits and general employment
    • PHR or SPHR designation or similar professional certification is highly desirable.

    • Strong proficient in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Period travel for meetings/conferences
