We’re looking for a detail-oriented self-starter to join our team as a Manager, Test Engineering, where you’ll work closely with your team to define deliverables, monitor test execution, and assure metrics. In this role, you’ll be responsible for establishing testing timelines and providing go/no go decisions for software release, as well as collaborating with product owners to determine what’s coming down the pike.     Responsibilities

    • Manage a team of Test Engineers who develop functional and automated tests and execute them for projects and features
    • Lead and coach the team structuring appropriate training and development and eliminating road blocks to team performance
    • Design, Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated tests
    • Ensure a fun, dynamic work environment & build merit-based culture which appeals to the top talent in the field
    • Customer-focused approach by keeping existing customers happy to drive high renewal rates
    • Lead and coach the team structuring appropriate training and development and eliminating road blocks to team performance
    • Own the quality and performance of a competitive product and improve automated testing for existing and new functionality
    • Oversee Test Engineers responsible for quality for specific product or platform items
    • Partner with Talent team on the acquisition and retention of people resources to fulfill team mission successful; own the selection process.
    • Measure team performance by implementing and refining metrics
    • Escalate critical and blocking issues when necessary and drive them to closure
    • Research, evaluate, and implement new testing strategies based on existing needs
    • Enforce and govern entry/exit criteria that must be met before each release
    • Supervise staff to assure accountability and stewardship of team resources
    • Delegate and assign projects, duties, and goals to Test Engineers
    • Own the quality and performance of the team
    • Consistently ensure that business is conducted with integrity at all times and that behavior aligns with iCIMS policies, procedures, and core competencies

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 7+ years of software engineering and 3+ of leading a team
    • Exposed to various automated tools for functional testing
    • Customer-focused approach by keeping existing customers happy to drive high renewal rates
    • 3+ years of experience in a position with similar scope & responsibility with a track record of success. The ideal candidate would have previous development experience.
    • Previous experience working for a software or technology company a plus
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Articulates thoughts and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively
    • Ability to work effectively within a fast paced, changing environment that is going through high growth
    • A self-starter with the demonstrated ability to take initiative, who can proactively identify issues/opportunities and recommend actions
    • Demonstrated customer service orientation
    • Strong results orientation with a proven track record of flawless execution and strong attention to detail
    • Demonstrate ability to independently develop and maintain test plans/cases
    • Consistently be innovative, and self-motivated
    • Demonstrate strong knowledge of quality assurance and defect management in an agile SDLC environment
    • Familiarity in testing software written in various programming languages and technologies, including Java, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, and XML/XSL
    • Strong desire for quality and attention to detail
    • Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple responsibilities
    • Knowledge of Microsoft plug-in tools, such as Selenium / Webdriver
    • Ability to develop expertise in team modules and expand familiarity with modules outside of primary team responsibilities
    • Demonstrate the ability to recommend new technologies and processes
    • Previous experience leading and taking ownership of the most challenging tasks
    • Ability to guide, train, or mentor other team members
