We’re seeking a flexible team-player with an eye for engaging copy to join our team as an Editor, where you’ll ensure all content produced and in circulation aligns with brand/style guidelines, message strategies and resources, and company vision. As an Editor, you’ll be responsible for obtaining cross-department alignment, and ensuring messaging evolves accordingly with the introduction of new products, editorial strategies and brand campaigns. You’ll serve as the final approver of all content before it goes out the door, certifying everything is accurate, polished, and ready for primetime. We’re looking for someone who’s not afraid to give direction—someone who can exercise quality control and ensure adherence to best practices in the absence of direct reports.     • Build and maintain strong partnerships and lines of communication with CMO and senior leadership to effectively translate strategy into messaging that resonates with targeted segment or audience.
    • Proactively address shifting business needs and ensures that those needs are accurately and consistently represented in the outputs of content.
    • Ensure the implementation and adherence to quality control and best practices, guiding a team of 15+ Content Development Associates on how to effectively meet strategies while telling engaging stories that are on brand message.
    • Exercise quality control to ensure high standard of style and writing.
    • Manage team editorial meetings, ensuring cross-functional alignment within the team on changes.
    • Work closely with Public Relations and Product Marketing and Planning to ensure the latest messages are being adopted by the Content Development Team and are incorporated into in-market materials.
    • Collaborate with Content Development Managers to ensure content outputs align to message strategy.
    • Foster a continuous and productive partnership loop of feedback with Content Development Associates.
    • Manage the larger content calendar, providing a holistic view into work across the group and how it rolls up to the business strategy and message needs.
    • Own the narrative book, which serves as a baseline record for iCIMS’ company story, incorporating outside message resources from Product Marketing and Planning where appropriate.
    • Work closely with Brand to select content formats with audience and behavior in mind.
    • Harness persona research resources to ensure content is best targeted to key audiences.
    • Edit for brand alignment, while working with an outside agency to support grammar accuracy on high exposure material.
    • Review and edit a variety of content for message accuracy, following regular cadences, and as new content is developed.
    • Ensure all content meets AP Style standards.

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience required.
    • A minimum of 8 years of related experience required.
    • Knowledge of target audience segmentation strategies that optimize results.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must articulate thoughts and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
    • Ability to communicate audience-appropriate information and ideas clearly in writing. Your peers and bosses need to easily understand your direction and recommendations.
    • Proven ability to provide strategic direction to internal teams that accomplish business goals.
    • Demonstrated effectiveness at training and mentoring others. Ability to motivate and challenge a team, without a direct reporting structure.
    • Demonstrated flexibility, resilience and creativity when solving for complex issues.
    • Comfortable working in a demanding, fast-paced changing environment that is going through high growth.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize; multi-task and work with competing deadlines.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a high degree of approachability and the ability to work seamlessly in a team oriented environment.
    • Proven copywriting skills.
    • Effective vendor management and negotiation skills.
    • Proactive work ethic and highly self-motivated.
    • Creative problem solver, capable of removing obstacles and moving projects to completion.
