    Do you have segment-specific marketing expertise (vertical, business size, or geography)? Have you worked in SaaS or HR technology? We’re seeking a highly-driven, senior marketing professional to join our team as a Segment Marketing Manager III, where you’ll work closely with the Director, Planning & Product Marketing and various subject matter experts across the Marketing Department to develop and socialize segment-specific business delivery strategies targeting mid-market and enterprise companies. In this role, you’ll partner with General Managers (GMs) who are aligned to specific business segments to map those strategies to corresponding operational needs and achieve segment-specific annual goals, and coordinate with Finance to report on performance relative to plan projections. We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable working alongside and supporting senior executives—someone who’s used to developing presentations designed to gain cross-functional buy-in, and providing executive-level status updates against plans in flight.     Responsibilities

    • Devise segment-specific marketing strategies, manage plans, provide updates, and serve as the main point of contact in Marketing for GMs who will be overseeing segment-specific business strategies that require Marketing support
    • Work across the Marketing department and other teams within the company to execute against segment-specific strategic business plans that may account for various industries, buying personas, and competitors
    • Owns the customer journey for each buying persona to ensure alignment across the organization and drive sales enablement; this includes compiling and managing segment GTM plans for each buyer persona to drive improved brand awareness among key target audiences
    • Coordinate with Finance and the GMs to regularly provide updates on segment-specific Marketing plan performance
    • May be asked to support GMs with content development related to executive buy-in presentations regarding new segment-specific Marketing strategies and/or initiatives being introduced across the business
    • Provide Marketing Team at large with routine updates on segment-plan performance versus annual forecasts
    • Identify and quickly escalate any blocks to delivering against strategic plans that are approved and in flight

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant working experience.  MBA desired by not required
    • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a Marketing, Business Development or Product Marketing/Strategy role with at least 2 years’ experience coordinating with senior executives
    • Prior experience working for a software or technology company strongly preferred
    • Prior experience working within the HR solution category would be ideal, but not required
    • Previous experience working for an organization that was organized according to segment-specific alignments (vertical, business size, geography, etc.) strongly preferred
    • Previous experience working for companies with 500+ employees preferred, but not required
    • Be someone who has the confidence to make bold recommendations
    • Must love building cross-functional working relationships – this role requires someone who can manage up and across with fluidity
    • Must be detailed-oriented and able to apply critical thinking quickly and effectively
    • Should have experience “leading by influence” versus direct reporting oversight
    • Be demonstrative enough to know when to take action or escalate matters when elements of a plan are blocked or stalled
    • Be a “bridge builder” – someone who is personable, outgoing, and an effective communicator
    • Be an ace at creating executive-level summaries that distill the complex into the digestible/actionable
    • Must have a proven track record of developing and implementing programs that deliver business results
    • Comfortable owning, maintaining, and reporting upward at the organization regarding performance goals and metrics around strategic initiatives
    • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
    • A self-starter with ability to demonstrate resilience under pressure
    • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred, but not required
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
